A new book for us Predatorcallers of Sweden.

The Swedish Hunters Ass. has given out this book by Ulf Lindroth "The art of Foxcalling" i got my copy this week and so far its been interesting and fun reading. I can really recommend this book to anyone who is calling or are about to begin, it has lots of tips and tricks that are really useful in the field.

Finally got out calling!!

I finally got some time to call for fox, and this time i brought my cousine along on one of the stands. So this week i bagged two young reds, my cousine got bitten by the "huntingbug"

so he will probably come back next month for some more action.

Oh i used rodent distress for these two and i got surprised of the range when the weather is calm, i figure the first that i got was 120 yards out in an oat field so that really got me to think how useful this sound really is.

Springtime = Beaverhunt

Yesterday i finally got a Beaverpelt again, i havent shot one in a couple of years but last night it finally was time for it again. Not a very large animal just a good size to shoot and by that not risking to shoot any of the territorial Beavers and they can live to breed and supplie the lake with more youngsters next season. Season on Beaver closes on Saturday and hopefully i´ll be getting out at least one more time to hunt.

Tuesdaynight live!!

Johan and i headed out Tuesdaynight for some calling and we had decided a stand were i shot a Redfox last Friday night as i saw another one that night. When we left the car we walked just 40 yards down the fields when i saw a black figure in the snow 70 yards off the path we walked. I was carrying my Wingmaster and Johan his CZ .22 Hornet so he looked through his scope and i was confirmed a Redfox sleeping after dinner.Johan said he could take it if it got up so i threw away two or three mouse squeeks with my lips and the Redfox sat up looking our way, -Take him now, i said to Johan and a light bang was heard across the fields and the Red dropped back into sleep....eternal this time......We did some calling at this spot also but no connection so i figure this was the one i saw the other night when i was in that area.
