Got the big one!

This big male Beaver got out of the water
to eat just as the sun had set and the birds were starting
to silence, i got a clean shot from 30 meters with my win.308 and he dropped instanly.

After taking this picture i used a scale standing on it with the beaver i my arms, reducing my 100 kg (220lb) from 133 i was stunned i didn´t think they grew that heavy as 33kg (72lb).

I forgot to measure its length but im 187cm tall and my gun is 98 cm so that gives you a pretty good picture of its overall size.

Recon the area

During the Saturday afternoon me and by
brother in law (in pic) were out on a "Beaver recon"
and found this path. The beavers had been really
busy making this "highway". The weather was awsome
and it looked as if there would be perfect conditions
for the evening hunt. In the picture of the
boatstand you can actually see that the beavers have eaten on the pole holding the stand.
